Joshua J. Angel is a graduate of New York University (‘56 B.S. Accounting), and Columbia Law School (J.D. ‘59), with near 65 years of commercial insolvency practice experience in restructuring matters, representing debtors, creditors, shareholders, class action plaintiffs, and mega-bankruptcy plan funders.
For nearly his entire legal career — predominately at Angel & Frankel, PC, which he founded, and served as managing partner for near forty-six years, Josh served as one of the leading members of the New York Bankruptcy Bar.
Following the death of his wife Rita in 2013, Josh for the most part, has limited his Joshua J. Angel PLLC practice to issues involving the conservatorship of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Initially publishing “Government PERFIDY and Mismanagement of the GSEs in Conservatorship” in February 2016. Most recently serving as both Plaintiff, and Plaintiff lead counsel, in three Court of Federal Claims Angel v. United States, complaint filings June 2020 to present date.
